KARTELL’s Ultra-Minimalist Dollhouse Cottage

Italian label Kartell knows how to light up interiors better than any other. They design eye-catching light fixtures, iconic chairs, or practical and fun tables. But they not only create eye-catching home furniture and decorative accessories, but also design practical, fun and engaging children’s products: rocking horses, children’s stools, swings and toy cars, among others. Kartell’s design appeals to both young and old.

Now, they have launched new products that have expanded their range of children’s products. The latest addition to Kartell is a translucent, candy-coloured plastic doll house designed by Fabio Novembre.

The dollhouses were designed based on Novembre’s own experiences and those of his two daughters, and they have a sloping roof, openwork windows, and a front door. One side opens like a shelf and the back closes, except for window cutouts of various shapes such as arched, round, and square. The doll house is raised from the ground with legs, so it is easier for children to achieve. Dollhouses come in modern, bold colors like gray, neon green, pink, purple, and white.

“We are talking about an iconic format that everyone can understand, especially children,” said Fabio Nowungbre. “The real novelty here is transparency. Kartell transforms your belongings into light and happy ghosts – never bulky and always friendly.”

In addition, you can also transform them into small cabinets or bookshelves. Use the figurines and play with this dollhouse, or use it as a shelf for books and other small items to make it a piece of furniture that can be passed down from generation to generation in a family.
